Camp Ocean Pines
Welcome to Camp Ocean Pines
Camp Ocean Pines was established in 1946 to serve the community as a non-profit camp and a conference center. A jewel on the Central Coast, the camp sits on thirteen acres of Monterey Pine forest that overlooks the ocean shore.
Learn more about Camp Ocean Pines in our About Us page. Our facility is also available as a Conference Center when we are not having one of our exceptional workshops or educating school children about the environment.

Quilting (for Two) by the Ocean Retreat
August 30-September 2, 2007
Make the World a Better Place: Be a Quilting Mentor!

Share your love of quilting and all the fun of a retreat with a beginner who is young or young at heart (ages 8 to 99 welcome). The quilting community recognizes the need to pass along this art form to the next generation, just as it has been passed along to us. If you're a sewing and quilting enthusiast and someone you know as expressed an interest in learning the craft, invite them to this eye-opening four-day retreat and serve as their mentor.
A full staff of professional sewing and quilting educators on campus will facilitate the journey of teaching a loved one to sew. Each day will include demonstrations and private learning opportunities to take each team of two (the mentor and their mentee) on a journey of design, construction, quilting, and finishing to complete a small sewing/quilting project. The goal is to touch on several different sewing tools and techniques, creating a foundation for the learner to blossom into a proficient sewer.
Online registration is now available for this workshop!
Outdoor Education 2007-2008

The Central Coast of California is an unspoiled place to study nature with the experts. Camp Ocean Pines provides a unique opportunity for students to meet with excellent naturalists to study marine science and forest ecology.
Our naturalists are well versed in the California State standards, and teachers will enjoy watching their students participate in memorable activity based hands on learning in this remarkable setting.
