Welcome to Camp Arrowhead
Camp Arrowhead is a private girls traditional summer camp established in 1934. We provide a safe, wholesome and positive atmosphere for girls (ages 6-17) to develop confidence and talents within themselves through the many activities offered. We gently guide the girls socially and spiritually into young ladies. This is a place where girls can be girls. Our specialty is FUN!
Camp Arrowhead for girls is located on 650 beautiful Texas Hill Country acres in Hunt, TX. It boasts wonderful carpet grass under huge cypress trees along the clear headwaters of the Guadalupe River.
It was established in 1934 by Ewing & Martha "Mattie Garner" Gillis and is ran today by the same family. The Gillis' began a rich history of traditions with a Native American theme that are still in use today. We use the Kickapoo and Pawnee tribes to engage in friendly competition.
We offer many activities such as; archery, arts & crafts, camp craft, canoeing, cheerleading, drama, gymnastics, hiking, horseback riding, riflery, ropes course, self-defense, sports, tennis, swimming and more. We allow your daughter to create her own schedule according to her tastes.
We have a program that will help your daughter discover talents she never thought she had. Most of all ... she will develop friendships that will last a lifetime!
